The owner of British Home Emporium, Nina has been an interior designer for over 25 years. Her broad range of expertise includes residential interiors in New Jersey, visual merchandising and editorial photo styling. Her sensibility marries traditional elegance with European country style and contemporary design.

Nina has created interiors for clients in the New York Metropolitan area and Atlanta, Georgia. Some of her close friends who became her first "clients" include the CEO of Auto Zone, Senior Executives of Polo Ralph Lauren and several Coca Cola Executives.

She has been the showroom designer for Mottahedeh & Co, Inc., the prestigious creators of porcelain museum reproductions for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Colonial Williamsburg, Historic Charleston, Musee des Arts Decoratifs and the Winterthur Museum. Nina's photo styling is represented in the book, From Drawing Board to Dining Table, by Wendy Kvalheim, president and CEO of Mottahedeh.

Nina works with clients personally and in collaboration with other design and architectural firms. She has worked with HIT, the architecture and interior design company known for its fine residences in New Vernon, New Jersey. As the owner and principle interior designer at British Home Emporium, she offers her clients a relationship which encompasses the full resources of the retail store combined with access to all designer resources.

Nina received her B.A. in Art History, and B.F.A. in Fine Arts, and studied Interior Design at Parsons School of Design. She began her career in high school assisting her mother, Head Interior Designer for Bloomingdales and Greenbaums. Hired by Bloomingdales as the Assistant Fashion Coordinator in Home Furnishings she was responsible for special events, creating celebrity table settings, and product development. In these early years of her career she enjoyed opportunities to work with celebrities like Pauline Trigere and Wally Amos, inventor of Famous Amos cookies.

Creative floor presentations in the flagship store led her to the position of Display Director of Conran's US. She developed floor plans and supervised the opening of twelve stores from the construction phase to the Gala opening party, while directing the visual merchandising of existing stores. There she worked with talents such as Sir Terence Conran, owner of Conran's and presently known for The Conran Shop and Guastavino's at the 59th Street Bridge in Manhattan as well as Bibendum and a list of London's most notable eateries.

Let Nina share her vision to create unique and beautiful environments in your home or office.
