She began her career in high school assisting her mother, Head Interior Designer for Bloomingdales and Greenbaums. Hired by Bloomingdales as the Assistant Fashion Coordinator in Home Furnishings she was responsible for special events, creating celebrity table settings, and product development. In these early years of her career she enjoyed opportunities to work with celebrities like Pauline Trigere and Wally Amos, inventor of Famous Amos cookies.
Creative floor presentations in the flagship store led her to the position of Display Director of Conran's US. She developed floor plans and supervised the opening of twelve stores from the construction phase to the Gala opening party, while directing the visual merchandising of existing stores. There she worked with talents such as Sir Terence Conran, owner of Conran's and presently known for The Conran Shop and Guastavino's at the 59th Street Bridge in Manhattan as well as Bibendum and a list of London's most notable eateries.
